‘SO, WHERE’S THE PARTY?” HAS BEEN RELEASED!!

(Read about the launch night party in the DIARY section of our band website at www.bedrockband.com/diary/diary.htm
If you would like to order a copy of our latest release,  no matter where you are in the world, please drop us a line at sandmaster@ananzi.co.za)

We are delighted to be able to tell you all that, accompanied by a “Mother” of a party at Oranjemund’s Don Esteban watering hole on the night of Friday, 31 January, 2003, our latest – and undoubtedly, finest – CD was released. And you can be assured – for the folks who have heard it there can be no doubting where the Party is!! The tracks, all original compositions by the band members themselves were recorded at the band’s Dining Room Studios and have been released on their very own Criminal Records label. The master touch of producer, Neil Thain, is evident throughout the recording. The CD’s artwork and visual impact is humorously stunning and the package comes with a sixteen page full colour booklet which includes all the lyrics to the songs, as well as photographs of life with the band. You could say that this is an album of the “sixteens” because the sixteen page booklet complements the sixteen songs on the CD perfectly. And to think that none of this was planned!! (Seriously, it wasn’t – we couldn’t think that far ahead if we tried!!).

“So, Where’s The Party?” is a significant shift away from the material that was featured on their previous release, “Recovery”. Whereas “Recovery” was, in the main, an eclectic mix of pleasant-to-listen-to middle-of-the road pop songs, “Party?” has a strong rockin’ direction, aided and abetted by a dollop of reggae, folk and country on occasion. There’s plenty of the sound of “big” rock guitar and the production will ensure that the instruments pulsate back and forth across your lounge at whatever level you choose to play it at. In the case of both releases, all the songs are the original works of the band members themselves.

The track listing of the album, together with the respective composers, is:

1. So, Where’s The Party? (Ramage)

2. Rock ‘n Roll Man Part II (Ramage)

3. Nobody There (Millad)

4. Nothing Worries Me (Ramage)

5. Mobile Party (Ramage)

6. What Crap Is That? (Shout)

7. Angels (Ramage)

8. Yeah, Yeah (Ramage/Heusdens)

9. Cliché (Millad/Heusdens/Shout)

10. Rickshaw Baby Blues (Ramage)

11. This Place (Millad)

12. Crowd Invasion (Ramage)

13. The Air Guitar Song (Shout)

14. Going Home (Ramage)

15. Last Round (Shout)

16. So, Where’s The Party? (Refrain) (Ramage)

The CD is 58 minutes long and is sure to get you going when that party mood is escaping you! Have fun!

(PLEASE NOTE: To this of you who have already ordered the CD – relax. Postings will commence tomorrow and you should have your personally signed copy in your hands as soon as the postal service can convey it to you.)
